- Artisan Grade IV jobs in a variety of crafts, such as fitter, welder, machinist, electrician, electronics mechanic, and foundryman, are being sought after by BHEL.
- Vacancies are spread across multiple manufacturing plants in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Uttarakhand, Telangana, Madhya Pradesh, and others.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Candidates must have completed Class Xth + National Trade Certificate (NTC/ITI) + National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) in the relevant trade.
- Minimum marks: 55% of SC/ST applicants and 60% of General/OBC candidates in both NTC/ITI and NAC.
Age limits (as on July 1, 2025)
- General/EWS: 27 years
- OBC (NCL): 30 years
- SC/ST: 32 years
- Age relaxation is applicable for PwD, Ex-servicemen, and Jammu & Kashmir domiciled candidates as per government rules.
Reservation:
- Job reservations apply as per government norms for SC, ST, OBC, EWS, PwD, and Ex-servicemen categories.
Application Process:
- Candidates can apply for only one trade and one manufacturing unit.
- Computer-Based Examination (CBE) and Skill Test will be conducted as part of the selection procedure.
- Multiple languages, including Hindi, English, and regional languages where appropriate, will be used for the CBE

Selection Process:
- Stage 1 – Computer Based Examination (CBE): Candidates will be shortlisted for the Skill Test on the basis of their CBE marks.
- Stage 2 – Skill Test & Document Verification: The skill test is qualifying in nature, followed by document verification.
Important Notes:
- Selected candidates will serve as temporary employees for one year before being regularized as Artisan Grade IV with a salary scale of Rs. 29,500 – Rs. 65,000.
- Candidates must be prepared to serve at the allocated manufacturing unit for a minimum of 20 years.
- Transfers within the first 20 years are generally not allowed except under special circumstances.
Preference:
- Special consideration will be given to candidates who were recognized as Best Apprentice or Runner Up Apprentice in national skill competitions.
Medical Standards:
- Candidates must meet medical standards prescribed by the company. PwD candidates must provide a valid disability certificate.
