The IIT Madras Summer Fellowship Programme is a prestigious two-month internship designed to foster interest in high-quality academic research among talented students from Engineering, Management, Sciences, and Humanities disciplines. This fully-funded opportunity offers hands-on experience in cutting-edge research, guided by expert faculty at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IITM).

Eligibility Criteria

Students currently pursuing the following programs are eligible to apply:

Undergraduate Students: 3rd-year students of BE/B.Tech/B.Sc (Engg.)
Integrated/Dual Degree Students: 3rd or 4th-year students of M.E./M.Tech/M.Sc programs
Postgraduate Students: 1st-year students of M.Sc./M.A./MBA with an exceptional academic track record

Candidates with outstanding academic achievements—such as high university rankings, research papers, project experience, design competition participation, Mathematics Olympiad scores, and other awards—are encouraged to apply.

Note: IIT Madras students are NOT eligible for this program.

End Date: 18th July 2025

Stipend & Benefits

Stipend: Rs. 15,000 per month (maximum of 2 months, prorated for actual internship duration)
Accommodation: Hostel and mess facilities available on a paid basis, subject to availability
