Qualifications:

A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
Foundational experience with cloud cost management tools such as Cloudability, CloudHealth, or AWS Cost Explorer.
Exposure to scripting languages like Python and SQL for data analysis and automation tasks.
Understanding of financial analysis, budgeting procedures, and IT cost management concepts.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
Basic understanding of cloud computing concepts and familiarity with public cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, and GCP.
Experience in creating enterprise dashboards, building reporting tools, and setting up alerting systems is a valuable asset.
Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences.
A strong desire to learn and develop skills in Public Cloud Management, FinOps practices, and cloud cost optimization techniques.
Knowledge of other cloud platforms like IBM Cloud is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor and analyze cloud spending across platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Work closely with engineering and finance teams to allocate cloud costs accurately and establish efficient chargeback processes.
Identify inefficiencies in cloud resource utilization and provide actionable recommendations for cost savings.
Automate cost reporting and financial analysis using cloud-native tools and FinOps platforms.
Stay updated with evolving cloud pricing models, discounts (e.g., reserved instances, savings plans), and cost-saving opportunities.
Support FinOps governance by enforcing compliance with cloud financial policies and aligning with industry best practices.
Encourage cost visibility and guide teams on best practices for managing cloud expenses effectively.
Get hands-on experience with purchase order (PO) management, invoice processing, and billing systems of cloud service providers.
