Core Skills & Responsibilities
As a Site Reliability Engineer Intern, you will:
- Work on Linux/Unix administration and support daily operations.
- Build knowledge in networking concepts and troubleshooting.
- Explore a wide range of open-source tools and cloud services.
- Ensure adherence to best IT practices within high-availability environments.
- Manage and optimize networking in Linux (including IP, iptables, and ipsec).
- Gain practical experience with MySQL database management.
- Write and debug scripts in languages such as Perl or Golang.
- Support automation and configuration management using SaltStack or equivalent tools.
Additional Skills (Good to Have)
- Knowledge in the following areas will be considered a plus:
- Implementing cloud services on Linux using KVM/QEMU.
- Experience with DCOS (Mesos & frameworks).
- Working with NoSQL databases such as Aerospike.
- Familiarity with Galera clustering.
- Exposure to OpenBSD systems.
- Handling occasional data center activities.
