Position: Software Quality Assurance / Testing Engineer

The Software Quality Assurance (QA) / Testing Engineer plays a pivotal role in ensuring that the software design and functionality meet the company’s standards. This role is involved throughout the development lifecycle and works closely with cross-functional teams to conduct both exploratory and automated testing, guaranteeing a high-quality end product.
Academic Qualifications and Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
- ISTQB Foundation Level Certification or an equivalent certification is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities and Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Manual Software QA Engineer.
- Proficiency in Agile testing practices, with active participation in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and backlog refinement.
- Expertise in executing manual test cases, logging defects, and performing root cause analysis.
- Experience using tools like Azure DevOps or Jira for test case management and defect tracking.
- Familiarity with API testing using tools such as POSTMAN, and a solid understanding of REST API principles.
- Hands-on experience with cross-browser and cross-platform testing to ensure the software works seamlessly on different environments.
- Knowledge and experience with databases (SQL and NoSQL, including MongoDB) to validate the accuracy and integrity of data.
Non-Technical Skills
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate findings and collaborate effectively with development and product teams.
- A genuine passion for quality assurance and a commitment to delivering consistent, high-quality results.
