Nike is looking to hire a skilled Software Engineer I for their ITC team within the Global Technology organization. This role involves collaborating closely with software engineers, product managers, and architects to meet business objectives.
As a Software Engineer I, you’ll contribute to both front-end and back-end development, ensuring seamless and scalable web applications and services. The role reports to the Engineering Manager, and you’ll be part of a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

- Educational Background: A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Professional Experience: A minimum of 1 year of professional experience as a Full Stack Software Engineer or in a similar role.
- Technical Skills:
- Front-End Development: Hands-on experience with JavaScript frameworks like React (or similar).
- Back-End Development: Proficiency in server-side programming languages such as Node.js, Python, or similar.
- Database Expertise: Experience working with NoSQL databases.
- API Development: Knowledge of designing and consuming RESTful APIs and web services.
- Cloud Technologies: Familiarity with cloud platforms, particularly AWS, and experience with serverless architectures and cloud-native development.
- Version Control: Proficiency with tools like Git, GitHub, or similar.
- Debugging & Troubleshooting: Strong skills in problem-solving, performance optimization, and debugging.
Key Responsibilities
- Design & Development: Build, test, and maintain scalable web applications and services. This includes working on both front-end and back-end development to deliver end-to-end functionality.
- Collaboration: Work with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define technical specifications and ensure quality software delivery.
- Front-End Development: Build dynamic, responsive, and user-friendly interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworks like React.
- Back-End Development: Design and implement RESTful APIs, microservices, and backend services using technologies such as Node.js, Python, or similar.
- Testing & Quality Assurance: Write unit tests, integration tests, and ensure high code quality standards using tools like Jest, Mocha, or similar.
- Performance Optimization: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, ensuring high availability and responsiveness of the application.
- CI/CD Integration: Work with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for smooth software delivery.
- Agile Methodologies: Participate in Agile processes such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, code reviews, and retrospectives.
