The Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) has released the notification for the 32nd batch of Assistant Administrative Officers (AAO-Generalist). Eligible Indian citizens can apply online.

LIC Assistant Administrative Officers Recruitment (AAO) 2025 – 350 Vacancies

Total Vacancies

  • 350 posts have been announced.

  • Vacancies are distributed across categories (SC, ST, OBC, EWS, UR) and also include reservations for PwBD candidates as per government norms.

  • The number of vacancies may change depending on LIC’s requirements.

Important Dates

  • Start of online applications: 16th August 2025

  • Last date to apply: 8th September 2025

  • Preliminary Exam (tentative): 3rd October 2025

  • Main Exam (tentative): 8th November 2025

  • Admit Card: The admit card can be downloaded 7 days prior to the exam.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Age Limit (as on 01.08.2025):

    • Minimum: 21 years

    • Maximum: 30 years

    • Age relaxation available for SC/ST, OBC, PwBD, Ex-Servicemen, and LIC employees as per rules.

  • Educational Qualification:

    • Any Bachelor’s Degree

Salary & Benefits

  • Basic Pay: ₹88,635/- per month

  • Total Salary (approx.): ₹1,26,000/- per month in an “A” class city (includes allowances like HRA, CCA, medical, insurance, loans, etc.)

Application Fees

  • SC/ST/PwBD: ₹85 + GST + transaction charges

  • Others: ₹700 + applicable charges

Selection Process

The selection will be conducted in three stages:

  1. Preliminary Exam (online objective test – qualifying stage)

  2. Main Exam (online objective + descriptive test – marks counted for merit)

  3. Interview

  • The final selection will depend on the candidate’s performance in the Mains exam and Interview.
  • Candidates shortlisted for the role must also clear a medical examination before the appointment.

Phase I: Preliminary Exam

  • Reasoning Ability – 35 Qs

  • Quantitative Aptitude – 35 Qs

  • English Language – 30 Qs

Phase II: Main Exam (marks counted for merit)

  • Reasoning Ability – 30 Qs

  • General Knowledge & Current Affairs – 30 Qs

  • Data Analysis & Interpretation – 30 Qs

  • Insurance & Financial Market Awareness – 30 Qs

  • English Descriptive Test – 2 Qs
