The Department of India Post is seeking qualified candidates to apply for open roles as Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDSs), which include positions such as Branch Postmaster (BPM), Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM), and Dak Sevaks. Pay Scale:
Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDSs) receive their remuneration in the form of Time-Related Continuity Allowance (TRCA). This allowance includes an annual increment of 3%, provided the specified conditions outlined in the GDS Rules are met.
- For the role of Branch Postmaster (BPM), the pay scale ranges from Rs. 12,000/- to Rs. 29,380/-.
- For the role of ABPM/Dak Sevak, the pay scale ranges from Rs.10,000/- to Rs.24,470/-
Selection Process
The merit list will be prepared by evaluating the marks obtained or converting grades/points into marks from the 10th standard Secondary School Examination conducted by recognized boards. These marks will be calculated as a percentage, precise up to four decimal places.
The department will publish the list of candidates shortlisted for engagement on the GDS Online Portal. After the results are declared, selected candidates will be notified via SMS about their results and the dates for physical verification, along with other necessary details.
