About the Internship
Google’s Application Engineering Internship (Winter 2026) offers final-year students a chance to gain hands-on experience solving real-world challenges. As an intern, you’ll develop, deploy, and support internal business applications that power Google’s operations at scale.
You’ll work on projects ranging from custom-built applications to integrating vendor-sourced software, collaborating with analysts, engineers, and business teams to build impactful solutions.
This internship is for students graduating in 2026 with a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Dual Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or related fields.
Minimum Qualifications
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in IT, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related technical field.
Knowledge of one or more general-purpose programming languages.
Ability to communicate effectively in English for technical discussions.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Java or C++ programming.
Exposure to systems software, algorithms, SQL, Spring, API development, Web Services (RESTful/SOAP), JavaScript, or TypeScript.
Available to work full-time for 6 months outside university term.
Responsibilities
Develop front-end (web/mobile) and back-end services to automate business processes.
Follow best development practices: technical design, coding, system configuration, testing, and documentation.
Troubleshoot and provide scalable solutions to support partners’ operational challenges.
Translate business requirements into technical solutions with analysts and cross-functional teams.
Integrate and upgrade third-party products with internal Google systems.
Build tools and solutions that improve internal business workflows.
