Role: Associate Engineer
We are looking for passionate individuals to join the BT Group as an Associate Engineer. In this role, you will be directly involved in building and supporting key technology solutions that power our global operations.
What You’ll Do as an Associate Engineer
- Design and implement logic for alarm handling and correlation.
- Develop custom adapters to gather network fault and performance data using SNMP, Syslog, and Telemetry.
- Build automation using Python and Shell scripting.
- Troubleshoot and debug complex technical issues effectively.Deliver high-quality solutions using Agile methodologies.
- Drive deep technical analysis to resolve challenging situations.
- Work with Java, Kubernetes, Grafana, MySQL, Oracle, and Graph databases.
- Develop scalable solutions with REST APIs, Microservices, Spring Boot, and ActiveMQ.
- Perform root cause analysis of production issues and implement fixes.
- Ensure timely delivery of software releases by following strong engineering practices.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant discipline.
- Experience Level: 0–3 years (Freshers welcome).
- Practical understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, and Java (ideally JDK17).
- Strong programming skills in Python and Shell scripting.
- Understanding of Apache Kafka and REST API development.
- Experience in REST-based Microservices, Spring Boot, and WebLogic.
- knowledge of programs like GitLab Runner, Grafana, and Kibana.
- Good knowledge of MySQL, Graph databases, and their components.
- Exposure to working in Agile/Scrum environments with distributed teams.
- Problem-solving mindset with strong documentation and presentation skills.
- Ability to handle large-scale data processing in both real-time and batch modes.
- Good knowledge of the Linux operating system.
